I am researching hearing aids for my mom. She is COMPLETELY opposed to it. Any advice/info on the smallest possible hearing aid? She will not consider anything that is large. She is stuck in the 70’s not realizing that technology has made lots of advances in the size and quality of hearing aids. HELP! Thanks!

I have significant hearing loss in my left ear from childhood ear infections and it seems to be getting worse lately. A friend really thinks i should see an audiologist and think about a hearing aid….

me and a collegue are taking over our monthly staff newsletter in Audiology (Hearing Aid Service)
ever since the beginning whom ever took over the newsletter gave it a new name
it used to be Sound Advice & Big Ears before i think and several others

please help with a name it can be funny, serious etc!

My left ear is near 100% deaf across the board. My right ear has around 70-80% loss, mixed.
I think the audiologist told me wrong when she suggested I use the digital hearing aid on the better ear.

I have one digital and one analog. Can’t hear much without either of them.

i’ve had a hearing loss since birth but didn’t know until kindergarten. i wore hearing aids in kindergarten until high school because i felt too embarassed to wear them although my mom kept encouraging me too and sometimes we had fights about it. i really don’t like the kinds that go behind your ears. it makes me feel uncomfortable and embarassed around other people. i don’t think the tiny ones would be useful with my type of hearing loss. i have normal hearing in my right ear and 80% of hearing loss in my left ear. in kindergarten we went to 2 people for opinions about hearing aids. one said no and the other said yes. i feel more comfortable without them. i had a lot of trouble at a college i was at. i was on academic probation twice. im at another college now. what do u think i should do?
