Am hard of hearing. I have a hearing aid but i dont like to use it most of the time coz after using it i feel?
Zak asked:
like the hearing loss is magnified. By using the hearing aid, can it make me totally deaf? Why is it that when i use it for 15min, after i pull it out i am more hard of hearing than in the first place? But after some min i hear normally [tho still hard]. Is it ok to use the in-the-ear hearing aid full time? likei use my spectacles?

Hearing aids are indeed very much like spectacles.
Wearing them won’t improve your hearing loss. Not wearing them won’t make it worse.
It’s the contrast between hearing with them and hearing without them that makes it seem harder to hear right after you take them off. Likewise, things probably look extra blurry when you first take your glasses off.
Then your ears — just like your eyes — adjust to not having the aids, and everything seems better.
If the hearing aids are comfortable, wear them all day, just like your glasses. But If you need a break from them, that will not make your overall hearing worse.
