can a otolaryngology doctor help you figure out if u need a hearing aid?

Absolutely. They have sophisticated equipment to check hearing. Ultimately they will work to determine if it’s nerve damage that is causing hearing loss or damage to the cochlea or what other issue(s) are the cause before deciding on what hearing aid or procedures will be best to help her.

yes - you can also see an audiologist. Many ENT’s have an audiologist on staff to do the hearing testing/hearing aid fitting process.
