Can I join the military with a hearing problem?

hearing problem
Anonymous asked:

I have a hearing problem in my right ear. I can hear a little bit through it but can hear perfectly fine in my left ear . Is it possible to get a waiver for my ear problem? Aren’t there some jobs which require perfect hearing? Hearing aids do not help me so that’s not an option. When I took hearing tests in school i’ve failed them. would I :still be able to join a branch?

It may be possible to still join the military but the military does have a standard exam for sight and hearing. If your hearing loss is too high they may not accept you, but if you tell them the problem before the test they may be more lenient. It varies in situation really so they may still have a position for you but the best way to find out is through taking the test.
