Can I still be an ATP if I have a slight hearing problem?

hearing problem
syn2cool2fool asked:

I am not completely deaf but according to my audiology test, I
have problems hearing high pitch sounds! Would this affect me in
the future if I was going to be a pilot? I’m kind of worried.. It would be great to get an answer from someone who knows the restrictions to be an ATP pilot.

Pilots do not necessarily have to have great hearing. As a matter of fact, pilots who have served for several years have been known to have substantial hearing damage caused by their service.

However, you do have to have exceptional eye-sight. Usually better than 20/20.

I hope this is helpful to you! Chris B
