		<description>You can deduct a hearing aid as a medical expense.  However, medical deductions are limited to anything above 7.5% of your adjusted gross income.  For example, say your AGI was $10,000.  The hearing aid and other medical expenses would have to exceed $750.  Then you would only get a deduction for the amount over.  Say the hearing aid and other medical expense were $1,000.  Your deduction would be $250. Also, you would need additional itemized dedcution(mortgage interest, charitable contributions, etc.) in exccess of the standard deduction to make it worth it.</description>
