A few months back I got hit on the side of head near the ear with a palm to head. After a surge of pain ( naturally) I had partial loss of hearing. ( in one ear then both)

The problem has since resolved itself, but was this serious and what caused the hearing loss in the first place?

With thanks..

My olders son’s friend was playing around and took one of those air horns you buy at party city and blew it right into my younger sons ear and it caused his ear drum to burst. Could this turn into permanent hearing loss? I dont want to hear it about the other kids I have already dealt with that and the kid was punished. My son who was injured is 3.

Okay so sunday night i went to this rock concert that had Nickelback, Puddle of mud…etc…and anyways it was really loud and lasted for 3 1/2 or 4 hours or so. Anyways we were down on the field up close sort of. And it was the first concert i had ever gone to. I still have ringing in my ear and cant hear that well. Is that normal or will this permanently damage my ears? Because i had good hearing and i dont want to lose my hearing or be hard of hearing or anyhting like that. So when do you think this usually goes away?

I went to see Tim McGraw last night. I expected loud music of course but not this kind of loss. It took over a week for my hearing to return to normal after Kenny Chesney! I wished I had taken ear plugs.

I’m used to the muffling sound and the ears ringing. What bothers me is the pitch or tone that I can’t hear this morning. The phone even sounds “squeaky” if that makes sense. When do you go to the doctor?
