I am interested in joining the military but have a hearing problem in my right ear. When I take any hearing tests I always fail them. But is it possibly to still be able to join with certain jobs that dont require perfect hearing?

I really want to join but if its not possible I dont know what to do.

I have about 30-40% hearing loss in my left ear. What branch is it most likely to get a waiver in? What MOS is best to choose?

I have a high ASVAB score and i meet all the physical requirements except for the hearing loss in my left ear. I have yet to go do my screening at MEPS.

What branch is it most likely possible to get a hearing loss waiver in?

Please no DB cycles or copy paste info, I’ve been through all kinds of information.

I got an above average score in my ASVAB and meet all the physical requirments. I have yet to go get screened at MEPS.

What branch and what MOS are wise to seek for this kind of waiver.

I failed the hearing test due to hearing loss in my left ear. My recruiter told me he could get me a waiver for it and now i have to go on monday to see some kind of specialist for further testing or something. Does this mean I can still get in ? If it was too severe would they just have denied the waiver?

He works on the cobras and hueys in aviation and his hearing has gotten even worse due to the loud noises. He wears his hearing protection but we tried to find out more online about this subject from the Marine side of things (they are different from the other branches on most subjects). If you were ever in or currently are in the Marine Corps please help me with this. Thanks!
