Blueboofrog asked:
I had a hearing test at hospital following an acoustic neuroma surgery which left me with hearing in one ear. That ear is now losing upper speech patterns, and doctors recommending a hearing aid. At reputable hearing centers, hearing aids range from $800 to $3000,(for one) and some require a high consultation fee. The on line centers average around $365 which is a big difference when you have no insurance. Thanks.

LuvMyAutisticSon asked:
I’ve been to 2 doctors and 1 specialist. If I cover my left ear, everything sounds as though I’m under water. My ear drum looks fine, no damage, they cannot find anything wrong. Yet I still cannot hear well out of it. A hearing aid has no effect. 1 doctor said it could be psychological but what does that mean?
Why would I eve “think” I can’t hear out of it, it drives me crazy! I have to sit on the right of people just to hear what they are saying!

Imdatchick asked: Im asking because i’m working on a project for class.
I have noticed by research that some deaf people wear hearing aids. I just thought that when you were completely deaf, then how would a hearing aid help. I know if you have some hearing left…then a hearing aid would work. But how would it work if you are completely deaf.
Could someone please expalin this to me.

K. R.N asked:
I have moderate to severe hearing loss in my right ear. My hearing loss in my left ear is not much, though I have difficulty in hearing high frequency sounds through my left ear. I wanted to go for a hearing aid for my right ear. The people in the hearing aid center want me to go for the left ear first and then only for the right ear. I do not want to wear this instrument in both my ears. What should I do?

STAR CROSSED LOVERS asked: I went on ebay looking for a hearing aid because I can’t seem to hear out of my right ear much anymore. My brother also had hearing problems due to our previous doctor letting an ear infection go to long and he had to have tubes put in his ear but I think they are out now but sometimes he still has trouble.
Do you think I should go with the 30 dollar hearing aid since it’s really the only one I can afford before it gets any worse?
