For some unknown reason my left hearing aid is whistling and it’s getting annoying, molds are good and fit well. My hearing aids are digital so I don’t know what’s really causing this whistle. My concern is can this whistle cause hearing loss if you continuously hear it whether it’s loud or quiet?

Could listening to my MP3 player all day for a long weekend give me hearing loss?

This has to be the nerdiest case of potential hearing loss ever, but: I got a new MP3 player and spent the entire MLK weekend listening to audiobooks. Maybe eight hours a day or more. Typically the volume was less than half way to maximum. However, today my ears feel like they are full of water and speech sounds muffled. Could I really have damaged my hearing in such a short time?

I was using a Palm Pixi and generic earbuds if that helps.

I am considering a career in the u.s. air force, but i have hearing loss in one ear. will it keep me out?

Is there a surgery or something? I have A prosthetic malleus and incus bones in my left ear and as a result I have a little bit of hearing. I had this done in august. Should I wait for hearing to improve or is there a way that I can improve it with another surgery or something?

Hi, i’m 17 years old and i went to check up on my hearing the other day and found out that i had a mild/moderate hearing loss. The nose, throat and ear specialist told me that he could do nothing about it other than suggesting me to not be expose to loud noises as much as possible.

I’m afraid that being so young, i may lose my hearing before i even reach the age of 40. Please any relevant answers will be greatly appreciated.
