I’m not sure what magazine you’re reading, but it sounds more like a joke along the lines of ‘members of the opposite sex become more attractive the more you drink’. Otherwise, it doesn’t make any sense and I speak from experience having listened to things both naked and clothed and have noticed no difference.

ppl who are uncomfortable/embarassed being naked in front of others will suffer from a 40% hearing loss ya. but its not so much u hear things less loudly. its more like u dont hear 40% of whats being said cus u just dont pay attention cus ur naked.

There is no relation to hearing and clothes. It was probably put into the magazine because most people think that when the clothes are off it is time for sex.

I read the same thing, but it meant that people “lose” 40% of their hearing when naked in a doctor’s office because of self consciousness - they don’t physically lose the hearing, they just tune out some of what the doctor is saying because they’re so concerned about being naked in front of a fully clothed person.
