does any one know anything medically about ears concerning a severe loss of hearing in 2 weeks?

If you are already using hearing aids and approaching the maximum amplification, it is time to talk to your doctor. If this has been a sudden change from level 1 to level 4 then it might be a defect in the hearing aids. Your supplier will probably check that out for you. There is also a possibility of some damage to the inner ear that is making your hearing problem worse. Have you recently sustained an injury to the head, near the ears? Start by getting the hearing aids checked. Don’t spend money on upgrades until you have also seen your doctor to see if there has been a change in the medical aspect of the hearing problem.
