Ear infection with some hearing loss?

I have an ear infection in my left ear with hearing loss and went to the doctor 4 days ago . He put me on azithromycn . Yesterday I could hear pretty good but today when I got up it is muffled again what gives . When will my hearing be normal again consistantly .

Have you taken the full course of the antibiotic? It’s important to take the full course or you will feel that you have cleared up, but really haven’t. If this continues to be a problem, the doctor may need to give you a different antibiotic.
