Wear earplugs next time. I don't give a shit if they look tacky, fucking wear them because otherwise you'll be deaf by the time you're forty.

I didn't wear plugs once, and my ears rang for a few days, but I don't think a week. Best idea would be to get it checked out and to wear protection next time. (think of your ear as a penis - it's better to wear a condom  and lose a little bit of the experience than it is to not wear it and wake up with the disease there's not cure for. Same concept.)</description>

2. hearing loss is common after really loud concerts. it is more than likely you damaged your ear if you were extremely close to the speaker. I have a friend who used to be a lead guitarist who (20+ years after quitting the band) is still deaf in one ear. If you were closer to the back of the concert, I'd bet it is just temporary. I'm not a doctor so don't rely on my answer alone.
