    It would take an extremely long time. Ear doctors recommend you keep the volume around half, and that it’s the safe “limit.”

    I don’t think that half volume could do you any harm, with my ipod on half volume I find it to be a good safe listening volume, definitely less than the 80 decibels required for hearing loss (even at that volume damage would only occur after several hours). I believe that half volume is safe for indefinite listening.

    I don’t think it would do any damage. But just remember that you only have one pair of ears and once you lose your hearing, there’s no going back [despite the hearing aids, it's not the same, although better than nothing...]
