As to how much it will cost that depends really on what the problem is. If her hearing has never been tested then that is the first step irrespective of whether you are going through the NHS or private. It is not like buying a car or a new cooker that you can go along and look, read some brochures or check on the internet. So once you have found out what the problem is private aids can be in the range £480 to £2500. There are more expensive ones but they are really specialised.
