It's so sad to see this happen with younger people. She needs her hearing so she can communicate properly. A lot of people wear hearing aids, there's no shame in it.

The best way to answer this: if you were a grandmother just trying to enjoy time with her granddaughter and needed a hearing aid to help her communicate properly and your granddaughter told you such a thing, how would you feel? Someday you may unfortunately be in that situation. So do not say anything and enjoy the time you spend with your grandmother

I"m sure there are other grandchildren who would love to have a a Grandmother to give freely of her time, attention and love. Since you don't appreciate it, tell her, so she can "adopt" an appreciative teenager to treat to restaurants and shopping trips.

This is one of the most immature questions I have ever seen on Yahoo Answers. You should be grateful for a grandma that takes you shopping and to dinner. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing a hearing aid.

Hannah, you should really give some thought to what you have just asked us. How do you think she would feel trying to shop and enjoy dinner without being able to hear the sales person or waiter? Would either of you enjoy dinner if you had to sit there silently because you wouldn't allow her to be seen with a small object in her ear? How is a hearing aide any different from glasses? Are you embarrassed to be seen with someone wearing glasses too? You are showing a very immature side of yourself. Your Grandma would be embarrassed to know what a selfish, vain granddaughter she has.

You shouldn't. How should I tell you to grow up and stop being such a selfish, inconsiderate and immature person? Oh, I guess that was good enough. Seriously, do you think she likes that she has to wear them? Do you have any idea how expensive they are? Don't ask her to get smaller, less visible ones. Get over yourself and realize how lucky you are to have a grandmother that is able to do things with you.

Why should you be embarrassed? She is elderly and has a hearing aid - so what!? It is common knowledge that everyone's hearing deteriorates as they get older, honestly it is no big deal.

If you have to raise the issue, be constructive. Point her towards the more discreet, barely visible hearing aids on the market. There are loads of them around, all shapes and sizes.

What an incredibly selfish kid you are!!!

"Dear Grandma,

I don't care if you never hear me say another word.
I think you look ugly.
If you spent as much time in the bathroom as I do, you'd see how ugly you are!
My feelings about what others think are more important than my relationship with you.
MY HAIR is more important than you Grandma!
Wait until we are alone to hear me say "Grandma stop! A car is coming!"

You have a pebble for a heart, you SELFISH child!!!

You don't deserve your grandmother.
