I bled out of my ear, is the hearing loss permanent?
white.devil asked:
A friend fired a large caliber pistol about 4 inches from my ear. It started bleeding, but not much. This was almost a year ago, and my hearing hasn’t returned. I haven’t been to a doctor or anything like that. Is this going to be permanent? Or is there something a doctor can do to help?

It is possible that you damaged your eardrum. Why haven’t you gone to the doctor?!?!?!
Go see a specialist right away. It could be a situation that can easily be repaired (perhaps it’s just scar tissue). See your doctor immediately. it doesn’t make sense to me that you have loss of hearing in one ear and haven’t done anything about it. my2cents
