The standards are NOT the same for all branches, each branch has its own Standards of Medical Fitness regulation which determines the thresholds for which you will require a waiver for hearing loss. Typically, however, the marines do not grant medical waivers on hearing deficiencies, though the army does. Wait to see what the navy does with your waiver, if the medical examiner at the MEPS says that you are border line, they very well may approve your waiver, if they don't, you can talk to another branch, and they can pull your records and initiate a waiver on their end. The person who makes the decision is the branch Surgeon General for the accessions command, so if that person deems you fit to serve, your waiver will be approved.
