Is it possible to get surgery so I need a deaf aid to hear?

hear aid
Joe King asked:

I have noise from next door that is driving me mad. Drum kit etc. Also the police helicopter detroying my sleep some nights. If I needed a deaf aid I would only switch it on when I needed to hear something. The rest of the time I could live in silence.
Moving is no good as what problem will I have at the new place. Does not solve the helicopter problem as well which often circles in the early hours of the morning.

or you could just move house to somewhere quieter!

Why don’t you just move? That’s a bit less drastic than what you are suggesting.

Make friends with the drummer and offer to stand next to the drums and play bass. Soon you’ll be as deaf as he is. (Or you could try cotton wool)

Are you deaf already? You cant just get surgery if you are not DEAF. I am deaf myself and i wear a cochlear implant (similar to hearing aid) i can turn it off and on. Only at nights i take off my cochlear implant.
I had surgery when i was five years old. Seriously, it will be much harder than you thought. I advise you to move the house..please.

Actually you don’t need surgery to wear hearing aid, I don’t think so..

People are lucky to be hearing.
