well, there is a method that my aunt taught me, when you open your mouth, beside in front of your ears there should be a hole that opens up. try to put your fingers in that hole (not ear hole) and massage it, it should feel alittle sour and painful, its supposed to attack your nerves so they can work again. Also eating hazel nuts would help. You should alo consult a doctor if it is too serious. hope you get well soon!

Depends on the level of the loss. Some unilateral hearing losses can be managed with hearing aids. But if it is a severe-profound sensorineural loss, you may find a traditional hearing aid more annoying than helpful as the boost in signal may distort speech.

There are two newer pieces of technology that can help. The trans-ear and BAHA devices both work by routing the sound from your “dead” ear to your functioning ear. So you don’t actually hear our of your dead ear, but you are hearing sounds from that side.
