		<description>You can't prevent hearing loss from aging or heredity, but you can prevent a noise-induced hearing loss.  Noise is the #1 cause of loss in the US (not age). When you go to concerts bring earplugs.  The hi-fi earplugs are awesome b/c you can hear through them (www.etymotic.com) and at $12/pair they're affordable. Give yourself 15 min listening breaks every 45 minutes when using headphones.  Bring your plugs to sporting events, fireworks, parades, or any time you're going to be around loud noise.</description>
