Colin asked:
I just went to the doctor and they said I have moderate hearing loss in both ears. They also say I may need a hearing aid in one ear. They didn’t seem concerned about disqualification from nursing, but I was rejected from the Border Patrol and struggled with the the Philadelphia Police Department over it. I just don’t want to lose yet another opportunity for something that is not debilitating in any way to me.

Ernest A asked:
Saw Darius Rucker on Oprah yesterday. Noticed hearing aid type devices in his ears. I’ve seen these devices in the ears of musicians used more and more these days. What are they for? Can he hear himself? I assume it’s in stereo or mono-aural?

Es-See Billion$ ♣ ♣ asked:
Sometimes I kinda cup my arm/hand while showering to get water to rinse my ears but once in a whle a little jet/stream from the shower head aims into an ear and obviously it’s loud and feels a bit like water. Does that when it happens a few times cause damage/hearing loss or am I fine?

K. R.N asked:
I have moderate to severe hearing loss in my right ear. My hearing loss in my left ear is not much, though I have difficulty in hearing high frequency sounds through my left ear. I wanted to go for a hearing aid for my right ear. The people in the hearing aid center want me to go for the left ear first and then only for the right ear. I do not want to wear this instrument in both my ears. What should I do?

Jelly asked:
It’s been like 3 or 4 months since i noticed my left ear feels pressurized and wont pop, I can barely hear when this happens for hours and days at a time. It doesn’t hurt and I’ve tried putting oil and vinegar in it just in case it’s fluid but nothing seems to help. If I try to pop my ears by holding my breath it opens up but a second later its like something closes over my ear and I’m back to being nearly deaf, but sometimes doing this can keep it open for hours. Simple things like chewing and talking can make it close and open up also.
