Rachel asked: I’m 19 and a Paralegal in the U.S. Army. I have a decent amount of hearing loss in my left ear and may need a hearing aid in the near future. Other than this hearing issue im in good shape. I may not re-enlist and am trying to keep my options open but do not want to make an unnecessary break in service if I can avoid it. sam G asked: i have a noise induced hearing loss. For regular conversations i have no issues if not alot of noise around, i have problems with high frequency tones.
Anyone can advice At which level of hearing loss (in DB) a hearing aid is required? and how much approximately is the cost?

My hearing aids are digital so I don’t know what’s really causing this whistle. My concern is can this whistle cause hearing loss if you continuously hear it whether it’s loud or quiet?

Jewel not so rare asked: I wear a different kind of hearing aid. It’s a headband that’s got a beige wire that’s a few feet long to fit in your pocket or bra that hooks to a box that holds a battery and an on/off switch. No no implants or anything.
The hearing aid band won’t stay on I’ve tried it. I’m wondering if some place would have services or devices that’ll help me hear the door when someone knocks or my alarm clock?

lovely asked: I am suffering from hearing loss since last 8 months due to side effect of streptomycin injection (taken for 2 months as per doctors advise). I hv been to ENT specialist but it doesn’t help me. I am using hearing aid, that too is not good assistance. I am desperate to get my hearing back at any cost. I am looking for some alternative which can restore my hearing. Help. Genuine answer only pls
