Sean asked: Lets say someone listened to their ipod at 90% volume, two hours a day, five days a week for a few years, how long until hearing loss would be noticed? Soon or not until old age? How does one make sure that they will not after using the ipod or is that impossible to determine?

Yah. Again, for my report.
I mean, to the point where you would notice the hearing loss in the next few days?

Murasaki_Fuyu asked:
Uh. So yeah.. Can long frequent and loud use of Ipod really increase your risks of hearing loss? What are the negative effects on your ears/brain of listening to an Ipod for a long and “loud” time?

bklynsweetie asked:
My uncle has been riding the subway as a part of his daily routine for more that 20 years. He’s in his 40s, but we know that something is wrong, especially when we have to call him/repeat something more than once and louder than normal. I’m assuming that this is the main thing that could have contributed to hearing loss (I can’t really think of anything but this). As someone who has recently begun to ride the subway on a daily basis, do you think is there any way to protect my hearing? By the way, I don’t listen to my iPod on the train (because you have to put it up too loud to actually hear it anyway).
