Raquel asked: Say someone has perfect hearing since they were a baby, and then later on in life they experience some terrible accident that makes them go deaf. Would this person have a bigger chance of going insane because of the huge change? What if this person had a sever case of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)? Would that increase the chance of that person going crazy?
ha I’m not planning on making anyone deaf! I was just curious….I didn’t know this question would spark so much suspicion.

Daisymae asked: Do you feel stupid because you have to keep asking people to repeat the question, and how do you deal with those who have thick accents? Do you feel isolated sometimes because of your hearing problem?

ross r asked: Please answer in units instead of giving a comparison. Also, if you could explain what those units mean, that’d be great. (Decibel, sone, mel, phon, hertz? I don’t get any of them.)
I guess I really mean “tone”, not volume

Kimberly S asked:
I woke up the other morning with a slight ringing in my right ear. Now, a day later, I have the ringing still but it’s a lot more prominent and also accompanied by some loss of hearing in my right ear. What could be causing it and what can I do to rid of it?
