I was told that I lost 55% of my hearing. I am aware that hearing cannot be measured by percentages. I wear high tech hearing aids. Just asking out of curiosity. I do not feel disable nor do i require special equipment. I only require hearing aids and an interpreter in some cases.

There is a physical that has to be passed, and the doctors determined that he had semi- lost his hearing and are giving the medical records to be reviewed by the board. I just want to know how often to you actually get medically disqualified because of such a condition.

I am 20 years old turning 21, forever i been running by stereo loud music playing like the volume set high, and running by the computer boombox, but now I been turning things down going to parties with earplugs, and right now movies at the threatres i feel i should wear protection bc its so loud, how mush hearing I lost if I down that with music since now like everyday for less then 30 mins? Total outlet power is 220, with big 6.5 woofer, and the volume level starts at 80bs then decreases getting louder? what would the safe volume for like my truck? stereo? and Tv? like level? right now I can turn the volume to 10 or 7 and still can hear words in the tv but i turn it up to 15, and on the steroe i can hear some songs at 80? so how much is my hearing damaged? is my hearing still good? can your ear hairs repair for my age? and I have earwax that could of protected my ears? but did i do damage by rubbing the edges with a quetip? can a eartrimmer be damaging to sound by your ears?
like sometimes I still turn up the tv loud to 20-25, but it seems like i cant hear very good unless its up their? is my hearing worsening? but i can hear whisper? minor sounds? am i just parniod? any suggestions to keep on task? and can wearing earplugs improperly cause ear damage?

I’m on the dive team at my school and yesterday i had an accident. i smacked the water wrong and lost hearing in my right ear. it’s been 2 days since then and it’s come back a little but not much (sort of a muted sound). My ear also keeps popping. I don’t know anything about this kind of thing but i was hoping to know if i should get it checked out or wait a while longer.

i hate wearing my hearing aids. i think in 1st grade i only lost hearing in my left ear but after i tested again this year i lost 50% in both ear! i havent wore my hearing aids in years. is that probaly the reason why my hearing loss got worse? when i wore them once in school this year everything was so LOUD! i couldnt stand it. i couldnt even hear my friend talk to me because of everything else around me.
also is there any way i could get back some of my hearing loss?
