When does prednisone start working for sudden hearing loss?

So i have fluctuating hearing that goes up and down. The doctor prescribed prednisone 6 tabs of 10g for 6 days and then i’ll slowly taper. im on my second day, when will i’ll start seeing results?

I have been diagnosed with Sudden Sensorineural hearing loss. On Prednisone now. Scared to death! Heard of it?

I am scared to death that my hearing won’t return, and I will be stuck with the sound of a jet engine in my head! Dr. thinks it’s viral, but schedule an MRI to rule out a tumor. I would appreciate ANY information regarding this.
