Does everyone who has had a head injury get left with hearing loss and tinnitus in one ear?

I had a subdural haematoma as well as a few other blood clots & it has resulted in me being left with minor hearing loss and tinnitus in my left ear. I find it hard to come to terms with.

Why would my Audiologist be reluctant to talk about my hearing loss?
