Buzzing Noises with Temporary Hearing Loss?

ok so i have an ear infection and i have lost some hearing in my left ear, like to the point were i cant hear a whisper. Along with this annoying symptom, when it’s really quite i can hear buzzing noises in my ear and head. It almost sounds like a low static sound your tv would make… why is this? please help!

Hearing Loss?

Last fall, I had a bunch of earaches, but they weren’t bad and I just thought that they happened because of my colds and I was too busy with school, so I didn’t go to the doctor.
Lately, I noticed that I can’t hear as well as I used to. I can’t hear a word someone says if they whisper or if they talk below a certain volume. I keep on having to have people repeat themselves, which I never did before.

Did I damage my hearing by ignoring the earaches? Is there anything a doctor can do now? (I’m 16).
