Listening to music with high volume in earphones/headphones.

Believe it or not, sgsvnit does speak truly to some degree. A new trend in hearing loss (especially in younger groups) is due to listening to music too loudly on headphones or earphones. It is only however just a part of the cause we know as sound pollution. This when we are surrounded by sounds that are too high above normal decibel levels (a measurement for sound power) or simply put, too much loud noise. For 100 percent hearing loss however, a major cause can be due to a trauma such as a sudden loud boom such as being too close to a horn blowing, hearing a loud explosion, etc. Essentially like anything else, deafness can have a variety of factors such as environment, genetics and diseases.
