What hearing aids would you suggest for a singer in a band?
January asked:
I recently joined a rock band as lead vocalist. I am having trouble hearing myself during practice with the drums, guitar and bass being so loud. Can anyone suggest an item to help me hear myself better without disturbing the other members?

I’ve heard of Ultimate Ears personal stage monitors because it’s advertised on Howard Stern. They say in the commercial it’s what the professionals use. Look them up on the internet.

Yeah, they’re called “floor monitors”…singers have been using them for years!

you want ear plugs not hearing aid lol.
it sounds real old fashioned but i used to sing in a band before i started up bass. anyway, my point is get those subtle ear plugs that just mute the sound a little quieter not completely
no disturbance necessary

get yourself a pair of STRONG earplugs; they not only block the sound, but you can hear yourself to make sure you are in tune. I do this in Jazz Band, with 20-26 people in it. It helps A LOT!
