It will depend on your hearing loss. There are different devices for different hearing problems. Costs will depend on what type of technology and style you get and depending on what part of the country in which you reside. In general, you may be looking at $1500 per instrument up to a little of $3000 per instrument for digital devices.

Sometimes, CIC hearing aids (or completely in the canal) are not appropriate for certain hearing losses. It is best to consult your hearing professional (preferably a dispensing audiologist) to see what is the recommended style and technology for your particular hearing loss.

We have had tremendous success fitting open fit instruments such as the Oticon Delta devices. Although these are over the ear instruments they are far less visible than most of the CIC instruments that are on the market. Ask you audiologist if you are a candidate for this technology. (See).

In general, the best hearing aid will be the one you will be happy to use and will use on a routine basis. Do your homework and educate yourself as to what is available and make a good decision when it comes time.
