What’s it like to be deaf - or to have significant hearing loss?

Did you take your hearing for granted once? How has deafness impacted your life? What can’t you do now that you could do before? If you had perfect hearing back for 1 day, what would you do?

I personally am not deaf, but my friend was, and I asked him the same question your asking. His response, “Try listening to those people over there(Points). Can you hear them? No, you can’t, but you can see their lips moving.” shebdude101

I think this is a loaded question and depends on who you ask and how long they have been deaf. My best friend is deaf and has been since birth. She doesn’t kow life any different, so she is just fine. But I know as a child it was incredibly difficult for her, children can be ruthless. Now she is a badass in NYC and is as “normal” as normal can be. Leah
