Where do I go if I have a problem with my hearing?

hearing problem
vitamin r asked:

Sometimes I don’t understand people or what they’re trying to say. When I watch movies it sounds fuzzy and I have to ask other poeple what they said, but most the time I can’t understand my friends response either. What do I do with my hearing problems?

tell your doctor this problem , if u dont have a doctor go to a local clinic explain what u just told us and they will set up an appointment with a hearing specialist to have your hearing tested. its a simple procedure, they sit u in a soundproof room and give u a number of freqeuncies to listen to , if u hear them u raise your hand ect. if u had alot of ear infections when u were a kid u may just need to have tubes to drain your ears

    good luck kikiaboo29

it could be caused from loud music (either by attendance in person or by use of a cellphone or any music you hear thru a device attached to your ear. Sometimes if you stop listening that way your heairng will come back. Try that first.

If after a few months you still can’t hear well learn to lipread (make sure people are facing you when they talk), spend more time writing (like emails and IM’s) for communication….and call your doctor and ask for a referral to a hearing testing center.
They will advise you what needs to be done, if anything. sophieb
