why moderate hearing loss happen of a 2 moths baby.is it common?

I have a 2 months baby boy.Today his hearing test done.Doctor said his left ear have 50 decibels and right ear has 55 decibels.His inner ear work properly.Pina and brain is also working.He have no fluid in his ear.So why the result is not ok?Is this ABR test result is always accurate or any other problem my baby?

    If he has a cold it can affect there ears/hearing. Thats all i know. Did they not say if it was common ?? Mrs

    It could be a middle ear issue, like otitis media. This causes a moderate hearing loss, but it usually clears up when the ear infection goes away. Mary_Anne
